It Begins with a Vision

Initial meetings with management define a Vision Steering Team (VST), if one is not in place. The VST is charged with defining corporate objectives by evaluating current practices and understanding future organizational goals
considering: core competency, trade-offs, project process execution, configuration management and reuse practices, training programs and technical data management. The VST sets policy as well as approves major implementation
milestones as the VISTA™ process is integrated within the software development organization’s routine. The VST sets the scope, pace, and degree of implementation planned for the VISTA™ introduction. Throughout the entire VISTA™ implementation process, VST members are very much involved.
